We had bought tickets prior but had to wait in the same line as everyone else to get a mandatory wristband. Was Funny!!! The line to get into the park took too long.
Our son elected to have the giraffe take the food from his mouth, a big slobbering kiss. The safari park ride, included in your admission, and allows you to feed giraffes. This money does help the park care for the lions. If you don’t pay in advance and change your mind, don’t worry, you can pay in line if you didn’t get a ticket in advance. Feeding the tigers, you get one small raw piece of meat to push through a plastic tube then through the fence. It was fun watching the show, and the kids loved it. If you can’t walk as far as some, the shuttle is key.
The shuttle runs every 20 minutes and takes you everywhere you need to go. If you want to see the animals and lots of them, you will enjoy this park. Not much in the form of activities/rides, so if that’s your angle, this is not the place. We have a family of five and our youngest is three. We were able to see all the animals up-close except the bears, which were hibernating. Wildlife World also features two restaurants where guests can feed themselves and their own helpless progeny.We had a great time at this park. At the 15-acre Safari Park, guests stroll or ride the tram through animal habitats, where they can spy on species that live on the other side of the equator. The adjacent aquarium adds to the zoo’s impressive animal collection, housing more than 75 exhibits and enough water to start a new earth colony.įurther attractions include a children’s petting zoo, daily shows, and a baby-animal nursery. They also give visitors novel views of some exhibits by welcoming them aboard the Skyride, the Australian boat ride, and the African train safari. Though you can’t get this close to every animal at Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium-such as the lions and the wild Larry Fitzgeralds-the keepers do facilitate animal-human exchanges as often as possible with the zoo’s more than 600 species. Not far off, some brightly plumed parrots land on another visitor’s arm, spying the tasty apple slices in her hand. Safari cafe had some great burgers, much better than some full service restaurants. Many locations for food throughout the zoo. I definitely recommend buying tickets in advance especially if they are on sale on Groupon. ★★★: This is hands down the best zoo I've been to! Animals are well taken care of and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommend a visit if your on the fence. We will return for another visit in the fall to see how the change of seasons turns out. Very clean grounds and saw so many different species of animals our minds are on overload. Enjoyed the day and we seemed to see everything in one day. Spent over 5 hours exploring the zoo grounds.
